Monogrammed Pocket Shirt Fundraiser

First and foremost, THANK YOU to everyone who ordered from our Thirty One Fundraiser.  With your help, we were able to raise a little over $253 to help bring little bitty home!!  With that being said…

I am very excited to introduce you to our newest FUNdraiser: monogrammed pocket shirts!  A friend came to me recently with the design and asked if I could sew one for her.  Within a few days of her wearing it, we had several more orders on our hands!
Everyone is in love with this newest design and it can be custom sewn to fit your fashion style!

Here’s how to order:
1)            Send me an email at brookemurphree@gmail.com  Please include your name, phone number, PayPal email address and shipping address.
2)            Tell me the color t-shirt you would like.  (I tried to do color blocks as close to the exact color of the t-shirts.  However, please know there may be a slight variation in color due to differences in computer monitors and t-shirt shipments.)
3)            Choose a fabric option.  I will choose a great thread color to coordinate with your t-shirt and fabric choices.  (Unless of course, you want a particular thread color.)
4)             Please list your initials as you want them monogrammed.
For example, my name is Elinda Brooke Murphree, so I would send my initials as:
EMB

Once I have received your order, I will send you a PayPal invoice for $20.  As soon as the invoice is paid, I will sew your shirt and mail it to the address you have provided.  No shipping fees!

Thanks again for everyone’s support during our FUNdraising craziness.  We cannot thank everyone enough for being such a huge part in bringing our baby home!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland {Favorite Photo Friday}

We live in Alabama, where each year, we typically experience 3 seasons.  The school books would say 4, but generally, its cool, warm, HOT, repeat.  So when local meteorologists predicted snow for this week, most didn't think twice about it.  It's a nice thought, but it won't come to pass kind of thinking.

However, by 12:00 noon yesterday, it was what we Bamians would categorize as a blizzard.  For real.  We're talking snow EVERYWHERE!  Like, a whole TWO INCHES or so!  ;)

Which called for snuggly clothes and school letting out early!  But, not early enough to prevent havoc on all major roadways.  It took me about twenty minutes to drive the normal 3 minute drive home.  Wrecks everywhere, roads closed, people being stuck at work/school.  It was a disaster.  I have NO idea how you Northerners do this with such eloquence.

But, despite the frustration the snow was causing many adults, it was so magical for Perry.  He had an absolute blast!

From balling up the snow, throwing it, kicking it, making an obligatory snowman, and clearing it with his heavy machinery, this little boy could not get enough!

His smile was as bright as the snow!

Justin and I were FREEZING!!  Afterall, we don't exactly have much 'winter wear' stocked up in our closets.  Soaking wet Ugg boats were as good as it got for me.

But seeing the wonder in Perry's eyes made it all worth it.

Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them white as snow. ~Isaiah 1:18

I Walk by Faith

I pass this little Field of Dreams every single day going to and from picking up Perry from my/his grandparent's house.  And no matter what the season, this place always feels magical and mysterious and so beautiful to me.  SO thankful that God is teaching me more and more each day to see the beauty in the mundane.

I've said many times that 2012 was an extremely hard year for me.  We went through so so much and learned even more.  God taught me over and over again that He is in control and that He will lead my steps.  I have learned to lean on Him more and to talk to Him more.

I've learned to be quiet more.  To take time to rest in His presence.

As I was standing in the middle of this intersection taking this photo of such thick fog mysteriously cascading down the lane, I couldn't help but feel as if the Holy Spirit was dancing all around me.

Quietly whispering to follow Him.  To trust Him.  Even when I cannot see what the future holds.

For we walk by faith and not by sight. ~2 Corinthians 5:7

What I'm {LOVING} Wednesday!

I am absolutely LOVING going through all our Disney photos!  I am no where near finished, but I wanted to go ahead and share the two most exciting characters P met, Mickey and Minnie, of course!

The characters were so good with the kids.  Perry was nervous and kept putting his hands up to his face, so Mickey strategically got down on his knees to give Perry a nice little arm-restricting hug!  All the characters worked with the children so well.  They were wonderfully patient and creative!

Perry was just smitten with Minnie Mouse, and I think she was pretty fond of him too.  After their photo, she gave him a little kiss!  I hated that I wasn't ready with my camera.

Perry had so much fun getting his picture made with all the characters, that we are still seeing them around our house and having to stop, pose, say 'cheese' and wait for the click!  It's SUPER cute.  I'm so glad Mr P made such sweet memories on this vacation!

Sunday Scavenger Hunt {On a Tuesday}

2013 is no different.  I'm committing myself to learn more about the art of photography. I want to push myself to grow and learn new concepts and new techniques.  In an effort to do so, I've decided to do another 365 Project.  I took a year off in 2012 and I don't feel as if I was behind my camera enough.  Doing a 365 forces me to get behind that lens and push to see beauty in the mundane.

To help keep me challenged, I'm planning on linking up to Ashley's Sunday Scavenger Hunt each week.  Not only will this give me a reason to have my Nikon in hand 365, but it will also guide me and hopefully challenge me as well.

So, without further adieu, my first Scavenger Hunt of the new year!

...Disney Cruise Line Style!

Backside- This decadent bit of deliciousness is sure to add to my backside!

Little Things- It's the little things, like playing in the sand on Disney's Castaway Cay, that make a vacation fabulous!!  That, and the fact that there's the any time pizza and wrap buffet, chocolates on my pillow, turn down service at bedtime.... who am I kidding?! I WANT TO GO BACK!!

Reflection- I was playing around taking some photos of my gorgeous hubby, when I got the bright idea to do a little self portrait in the reflection of his Costas.  Seeing it on the computer though, I really love the beach chairs and umbrellas I can see too!

Cup- This is the most delicious cup of Cheddar Potato Soup that our family has ever had!  It was so super yummy, our waiter brought it out to our family, specially, for three nights!  We sure do miss Hans and Arthur!

Outside- On our last night of our Disney Cruise, as we were sailing away from Castaway Cay, I snapped some of the most beautiful sunset photos I've ever taken.  I just don't see how anyone could witness something so breathtaking and not get emotional over the majesty of our God!

We were SO blessed to go on this vacation to start off our 2013 year.  I can't thank my Mom and Dad enough for gifting us with the present of a lifetime-time with our family to make precious memories!  I can't wait to get more cruise posts up on the blog soon!  That... and catch up on Christmas posts! ;)

Also, a friendly reminder, please don't forget to check out our Thirty One FUNdraiser to help bring Miss Ruby HOME!!
