A Spoonful of Sugar

This week, Perry has battled fever and an ear infection!  Thankfully, he is now on his antibiotics and feeling much, much better.  But since my little buddy was a bit down this week, I thought he needed nothing more but a little extra lovin’ and sugar!  So, while I was at Publix last night buying groceries, I bought him a little Halloween treat- his very own pumpkin patch cupcake.  Though it wasn’t exactly the cutest cupcake I’ve ever seen in my life, it was covered in icing, which I knew Little Bitty would LOVE!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

.... Or under it.... depending on who you're asking!

Every year around Halloween, my Aunt Becky has a pumpkin carving party.  It is always so much fun, full of cupcakes, smores, my favorite- nachos, and of course, pumpkin carving.

I typically go for the easier stuff, so Perry and I carved a bat.  However, my sister Melissa, being the “shower-upper” that she is, had to do the hardest mummy I think I’ve ever seen.

Usually, we all gather 'round the hay bales and finished masterpieces to get a picture in our Halloween costumes.  Although I was ridiculously excited about my family’s themed costume attire, Perry was not the least bit interested in giving me a desk worthy Halloween photo.  Instead, being the whiny cowardly lion that he was, he had a hissy fit!  Screaming and crying to get OUT of his costume!!

Perry was content with sipping on his juice and hanging out as, himself.

Although Perry was not exactly having the time of his life, the girls that I have been trying to steal now for four years love to babysit, were!  Bella the Fairy fluttered around ALL NIGHT LONG!  She was the cutest stinkin' thing!! I practically had to drag her away from the lights to get a picture of her and her precious sister, Leo.

After what seemed like a very long party, I took my exhausted crew home, and we were ALL asleep by 8:30!! There's truly no place like home.... or my king-sized, pillow top bed, with a down comforter!!

Did I mention I am in some serious L-O-V-E with my Dorothy shoes??!!

Career Day

While Justin was on night shift, Perry and I made a weekly habit of going to eat dinner with him.  We always had a blast.  Perry especially loved throwing Daddy's friend Eric's oranges to him, while calling them a "BAWWWWWW".  Even more exciting though, one evening after dinner, Justin let him do something verrrrry special.  He got to sit in one of the loaders and blow the horn (repeatedly) in the warehouse.  I'm sure the other workers thought it was very educational annoying!  But, Perry had tons of fun with his Daddy, and Justin had tons of fun with his little boy.

On the Chatahoochie

Every year, my family has a tradition of putting our boat in at Guntersville and riding all the way up to Chatanooga, TN.  It is So. Much. Fun!!  And this year, I actually drove all the way, which made it even more memorable.  And this year, Perry actually got to ride in the boat a little bit, which made it even more memorable.  And this year, we had the BEST weather since the tradition began, which made it even more memorable.  And then, when we got there, we were surprised to find that Chatanooga was having an "October-fest" celebration which was AWESOME fun, which made it even more memorable!! You get the idea... LOTS of fun=VERY memorable!!

Going to the Chapel

At the end of September, I had the exciting opportunity to photograph a friend’s wedding.  It was such an honor, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t giddy with excitement!!  Now that all the pictures have been organized and edited, I wanted to share a few of my favorites from their special day!

Congratulations Patrick and Molly!
May You Live Happily, Ever, After!!

In the Spotlight.... Hopefully

Hey Everyone!

Could you please help me become Pottery Barn's Baby of the Month?  I'd really like to be famous, and Mommy just thinks it would be cool to see me in her favorite magazine.  If I win, they might even give Mommy a small discount at their store, which would make my Daddy happy too!!  You can vote for me here!  Thanks SO much!!

Love,
Perry

It's The Great Pumpkin Patch!

Last Saturday we celebrated Perry’s friend, Sophia’s, first birthday at The Great Pumpkin Patch in Hayden.
The drive wasn’t nearly as far as I’d remembered and the weather was GORGEOUS!!  It was such a fun time and a wonderful welcome of fall weather!!  I has so much fun snapping away at all of Perry’s grins and giggles, and was even given the privilege of getting to be “the official photographer” of the birthday-girl, herself- Who by the way, I have no doubt will be Miss America one day!

After the initial playing around time, Miss Sophia dove right in to her precious pumpkin cake.  It’s a good think she looks good in any color because by the time she was finished, she was dawning bright orange from pretty little curl to painted little toe!!

After Miss Sophia went to the ladies room to take a bath get cleaned off, we all loaded up for the hayride.  Do I even need to mention that Perry was totally infatuated with the “TAC-TA?”

When we got to the pumpkin patch we had a quick photo shoot on the hay bales, and then we went to pick out Perry's pumpkin.  What a perfect day with my little pumpkin!!
